Extended Archery
Enter archery heaven as you draw back your bow and shoot on this truly memorable experience. With a traditional bow in your grasp, a quiver of arrows by your side and the target in your sights, you’ll learn the basics of archery with a fully qualified instructor. At one of the largest shooting clubs in the country you will receive one to one instruction and a large number of arrows within your extended time slot. Within minutes even the most modest archer will be hitting the target with the precision of one of Robin Hood’s merry men! Nothing compares to the silent precision of nocking the arrow, drawing back the bow and witnessing the flight and precision of a truly ancient weapon. Tea and coffee is provided on the day, and there are full restaurant facilities provided in the clubhouse where you can enjoy a full meal or a refreshing pint (after the action of course!) payable on the day. Availability: Operates every day of the week including bank holidays. Closed Christmas, Boxing and New Year's Days.
Participant Guidelines: Minimum age is 12. Anyone 16 or under must be accompanied by a spectating adult. As the venue has wheelchair access, disabled participants are welcome (please advise details at the point of booking).
Duration: Your experience lasts for an hour but please allow an additional fifteen minutes for bow fitting and briefing. You are welcome to stay on site for the remainder of the day.
Numbers on Day: There will be others shooting at the venue on the same day.
Dress Code: Please dress with the vagaries of the British weather in mind for this outdoor experience. We recommend warm layers in which you can move freely.
Spectators: There are safe areas for spectators who are also welcome to frequent the clubhouse and adjoining patio. Pets are not permitted onsite for safety reasons.
Other Information: This archery club is a member of the BASC (British Association for Shooting and Conservation).
